St Vincent’s Wirral, which sits on Grange Road, is a thriving community hub that offers practical assistance and befriending for those who need it most.

Through direct aid, emotional support, and specialist activities, the centre provides a lifeline for those facing hardship in the area. The centre, which is open Monday to Friday, offers a safe space for anyone to drop-in to have a hot drink and to address any help they may need.

Practical support for locals is always available and help with clothing, furniture, and occasionally white goods can also be sought after from the centre.

Activities take place throughout the year to ensure people always have somewhere to go. With free English classes, a chess club and community garden always on offer.

Later in the year the centre will be celebrating Easter where they are set to host an Easter meal, with games, music and raffles all on offer. They will also host an Easter Egg hunt in their community garden, giving people the opportunity to see the work they do and how they can get involved.

With the increasing challenges the rising cost of living is currently having on families, the need for support at the centre has never been greater. New volunteers are currently being sought after to help make a real difference to those affected in the area.

Anyone interested in visiting the centre, volunteering, or want to learn more about the services of offer, are encouraged to contact the centre by calling 0151 673 1313 or by emailing svpwirral@svp.org.uk.
