Membership for anyone

Membership is open to anyone, of all faiths and none. We just ask is that you accept the Christian ethos at the root of the Society.  The forging of new friendships is enjoyed by members and their families, sometimes extending to children who join our Mini Vinnie groups. 

We look for members who are, above all, caring and compassionate. We want people who are good listeners, confidential and non-judgemental of others. If this sounds like you, please get in touch with us.

Benefits of being a member

As a voluntary endeavour there is no cost to joining, except your time. You will be able to help all people irrespective of their background or religion, thus making an impact on your wider community. The only criterion for who we help is their need.

 

Safeguarding

Safeguarding in the Society is carried out within the framework set out in the Care Act 2014 Social Service, Well-being Act (Wales), Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015 and associated statutory and best practice guidance. 

 

Continuous training and development

When you become a member, you get access to our online learning platform, Knowledge Hub, with its various printable resources, how-to guides and support in developing as a member.

Fundraising support

The Society works hard to forge and advise on fundraising opportunities and solutions. Please speak to the Beneficiary support team about this when you join.

 

E-newsletter 

The Communications team keep members informed with regular email newsletter updates.

 
Resources

Society staff continue to pull together resources to help members ease into their roles and seek feedback to improve their production.

When you join as a member you will also receive:

  • invitation to annual member conference
